Walter currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Trelys portfolio company Ometric. Prior to this, Walter was Chairman & CEO of Avanex, which he led through a highly successful initial public offering and a period of fast growth. He previously served as President and CEO of both Pirelli Cables & Systems North America and Union Switch & Signal. In 1994, Ernst & Young named Walter "South Carolina Entrepreneur of the Year." A native of Italy, he holds a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Genoa.
